Jo Ellen works with adults 18 years old to seasoned adults of “seniors”. She uses Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Family systems, and Gottman approach for couples’ work. She specilaizes in Women’s issues, parenting, anxiety, depression, grief, loneliness, trauma, anger, self-esteem, substance use and life transitions and she offers Christian based counseling upon request.

Personal Information
Jo Ellen has been married for over 25 years and she has 3 adult children and a wonderful yellow lab. She has worked in foster care and group homes for over 10 years. She then began working with adults and teens in substance abuse and their families in outpatient and inpatient settings in Southern California and Dallas for almost 15 years and private practice for the last 3 years.
She is trained at level I in EMDR and has found this experience to help people more rapidly through trauma and psychological difficulties.
