Licensed Professional Counselor

Approach to Counseling:

One of my goals in counseling is to meet people where they are so they feel supported, affirmed, and understood. I use an eclectic approach to counseling because I think each person brings unique challenges, goals, perspectives and experiences to therapy. I also believe that the body, mind, and soul all work together to make us healthy and whole so I incorporate health/physical wellness and spirituality into my practice as well. Life change happens in the context of safe relationships and therapy is an excellent place to do that.

One my greatest passions in life is parent coaching. I enjoy seeing families functioning healthily and strong connections being formed. In addition to that, I enjoy working with:

  • women
  • individuals with mood disorders
  • relationship challenges
  • substance abuse issues
  • anxiety, trauma
  • grief/loss
  • eating disorders

Education:

  • BBA - Texas Tech University, Marketing, 1997
  • MA - Dallas Baptist University, Counseling, 2012

Experience:

  • Raj Shiwach, MD - Therapist, October 2012 - July 2014
  • Wise Health System - Intensive Outpatient Therapist, October 2015 - April 2017
  • Valley Hope of Grapevine - Intensive Outpatient Therapist (Pilot Program), April 2017 - present

Personal:
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my husband and 4 kids, exercising, reading, meeting up with friends and traveling.
